The sequel to my earlier painting "Winter Visitor", this pair of Bald Eagles are roosting along the Mississippi River near Lock and Dam #15. This is a popular Quad Cities winter place to watch the eagles feed as they wait for fish to come through the rollers and lay stunned on the top of the open waters generated by the dam. It attracts a great number of eagles each winter for some easy fishing. Down the river is the Centennial Bridge linking Davenport, Iowa with Rock Island, Illinois.
