This might be my favorite painting that I have done. I liked the challenge of fogging out the background and then the soft feather structure of the Great-Horned Owl. Whenever you see an Owl, stare into their eyes and watch them either stare you down, or look away as if you're not worthy of their time. Their eyes are just amazing to me.
