I think my favorite songbird is the Black-Capped Chickadee. It is their personality that I enjoy. They come into the bird feeder bouncing up and down in flight. They grab a seed and fly back to the safety of the trees, then come back over and over. What I really like is when they hang upside down on the feeder while pecking on the shell of a sunflower seed. To me, they are the otters of the bird world.
