This is a project that I put off for about 7 years. My family had a reunion then at Estes Park, Colorado. What a great place, the air is so crisp and dry. Not that humid stuff we have all summer long here in the MidWest. Estes Park is also where you find Rocky Mountain National Park. Talk about your "scenic, although nervous" drives. What I really liked about the place was how the Elk just roam about the place, paying the 2-legged critters no mind! I've had so many nice mountain photos to work with, but how to work in the Elk was the challenge. The Elk I used is from a photo I took at an Elk Farm not too far from here. This had alot of various challenges in it. The sky, the far mountain range, the cloud shadows on the mountains, the rocks in the foreground, grass, flowers, and the Elk.
