This is field we saw along Highway 61 in Iowa. It was during the Spring, the crops just starting to poke through the ground. I thought it was interesting how this farmer is practicing soil conservation techniques. Where stretches of ground are allowed to hold native grasses in waterway runoff sections. This prevents soil erosion during heavy rains from thunderstorms.
