A bit of a change from my normal North American wildlife subjects, this drawing is of a Humboldt Penguin. Not your normal penguins, they actually live in a warmer climate. Along the rocky shores of Peru and Chile in South America. Several challenges in this drawing. One was to try and capture the wetness of the feathers. Another was the rocks, and how to fade them with a misty background. This allows the penguin to stand out with a sharp black to white contrast.
