My pet portraits are drawn in pencil/graphite to capture your special animal companion's unique personality. The realistic drawings create a lasting memory of your dog, cat, rabbit or other pet. Your pet can be placed in a favorite background, or with a special toy, making your pet portrait even more personal. They are drawn on an illustration board, then sent to you unframed as framing of portraits should be a very individual choice. Pet portraits make a very warm and thoughtful gift for you or your pet-loving friends. Photograph Information I work from the photographs that you supply to create each commissioned pet portrait. The photographs must be clear and sharp with good detail. I also appreciate good close-ups of the head to ensure accuracy. Plus, if there are any individual characteristics of your pet, such as a unique spot, floppy ear, etc, please try to capture that detail. It is what makes your pet so unique. Photos may be sent as JPG's via email. (not to exceed 5mb, but larger the better for details). Or, you may send film prints, which will be returned upon the completion of the drawing. Image Size The final size of your pet portrait drawing is 11-1/2 x 15-1/2 inches. Which is suitable for a 16 x 20 inch "standard" frame (with mat), helping to reduce your framing costs.
